Central Wholesale Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CWED) was established in 1976 in Salinas, California. Since our beginning we have endeavored to meet the needs of the electrical industry in all of the regional markets we serve. We do so by building long term valued relationships with our customers, suppliers, and employees. Only then can we meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our customers.
At CWED, we take pride in our company's history, and we continue to grow as an industry leader through our consistent focus on customer satisfaction.

Who We Are...
Central Wholesale Electrical Distributors, Inc., was established by two dynamic individuals who saw a need and provided outstanding service to customers and quality products at fair prices. Because of the efforts of Klaus Hansen and Wayne Heitz, CWED has grown to 8 branches with well over 100 employees. Our branches cover a wide geographic area ranging from the San Francisco Bay Area, east to the San Juaquin Valley, south to the Salinas Valley, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo County. And recently we expanded north to our newest branch servicing the greater Sacramento Area, in Rocklin, California.

Klaus Hansen continues to serve as President, while his son, Michael Hansen is Vice-President, and James M. Sullivan serves as Secretary/Treasurer. Along with the entire Central Wholesale team, we are committed to providing our customers with the best service from the best staff in the industry. CWED is committed to attracting the most talented employees and providing them with constant training to better serve the needs of our customers.

Our continuous goal is to seek out new ways to satisfy our customers in an ever-changing market. We never lose sight of the fact that our customers are our number one priority.
